National tour of 'Hamilton' coming to Kennedy Center in D.C.

Are you among the zillions of people trying desperately to get tickets to "Hamilton" in New York?


Now you can be among zillions more who will no doubt be trying to get tickets when the national touring production of the uber-hit musical by Lin-Manuel Miranda heads to original Hamilton country — Washington, D.C., where Hamilton served as the country's first secretary of the Treasury.

The Pulitzer Prize-winning show, which is nominated for a record 16 Tony Awards, will have a run at the Kennedy Center during the 2017-2018 season.

The official word from today's news release: "New or renewing subscribers of the 2016–2017 theater season will be first in line for seats in the 2017–2018 Broadway series, which includes tickets to the premiere Washington, D.C. engagement of 'Hamilton.'"
