Marin Alsop may have been good luck for the Orioles on Monday night when she threw the opening pitch.

After a quick coaching session with Orioles vice president of baseball operations Brady Anderson last Saturday, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra music director Marin Alsop was ready to throw out the ceremonial first pitch Monday night for the Orioles' game against the Kansas City Royals.

Alsop also led members of the BSO in an arrangement of the national anthem and posed for some photos with the Oriole Bird.

The O's went on to win, 4-1.
