The final stop in the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra’s international tour in August will be Ireland.

On August 29, music director Marin Alsop will lead the BSO in a program saluting the centennial of her mentor and friend Leonard Bernstein as part of the 2018-2019 International Concert Series at Dublin’s National Concert Hall. The performance marks the orchestra’s debut in Ireland.

Scottish violinist Nicola Benedetti will be the soloist on the program, which will also be performed Aug. 25 as part of the BSO’s two-concert debut at the Edinburgh Festival. In between the Scottish and Irish portions of the nine-day tour, the BSO makes its debut at London’s Proms.
