Staff Q&A: Which show, new or returning, are you most looking forward to?

After yet another summer of TV busts, our staff chimes in about what fall shows they are looking forward to.

....“Boardwalk Empire” for Scorsese and “Glee” for Santana.
Luke Broadwater, reporter, The Baltimore Sun

....“Dexter.” It’s more than a show about a vigilante serial killer — it’s about the outsider in all of us. Michael C. Hall is outstanding as Dexter, but I love seeing the growth of his sister Deb (Jennifer Carpenter).
Anne Tallent, editor, b

....“Community.” It’s the freshest, most inventive comedy on TV, and not nearly enough people watch it. If it goes to a premature grave a la “Arrested Development,” I’ll be really pissed.
Wesley Case, reporter, b

.... I need my Ron Swanson fix from “Parks and Recreation.” The summer wasn’t the same without him. Well, it involved less meat-eating.
Jordan Bartel, assistant editor, b

.... I’ve been a “Grey’s” fan since the first season when it aired on Sundays after “Desperate Housewives.” My best friend and I always claim the “dark and twisty” defense. Yep, we’re nerds … maybe nerds with bad TV taste.
Jan Diehm, designer, b

.... I’m a TV addict, so my new shows include: “Pan Am,” “Terra Nova,”  “Charlie’s Angles” and “New Girl.” I’m also excited about “The Good Wife,” “Dexter,” “Parenthood,” “America’s Next Top Model: All-Stars,” “Community,” and “Modern Family.”
John-John Williams IV, reporter, The Baltimore Sun

....“The X Factor”! Excited to see Simon back on TV (“Idol” wasn’t the same without him)
Mick Lee, Z104.3

.... I know it’s a long shot, but I’m really hoping “Pan Am” can be ABC’s version of  “Mad Men.” It’s been too long since us cable-less freeloaders got to enjoy a show that didn’t involve a crime unit or Ryan Seacrest.
