Prop gun for acting class causes scare at Towson U.

Towson University students and employees were briefly alerted to stay inside Tuesday afternoon, because police were looking for a man with a gun on campus. But the man turned out to be carrying a prop gun for an acting class, said Towson spokeswoman Gay Pinder. She said the situation lasted about 20 minutes and that the report of the gun was not prompted by any threatening behavior. "It was more a case of see something, say something," she said. "Fortunately, it turned out to be much ado about nothing."
