11 Maryland school systems delayed or closed Thursday

Eleven of Maryland's 24 public school systems were either delayed or closed on Thursday, citing extremely cold temperatures and snow.

Temperatures flirted with zero early Thursday, with wind chills forecast to dip into the negatives. Much of the Baltimore metro area saw a dusting of snow overnight, while Western Maryland received more than an inch of accumulation in most places. Counties in southern Maryland and on the southern end of the Eastern Shore were still dealing with snow from Monday into Tuesday.
