A Baltimore City elementary/middle school locked down temporarily Tuesday morning after an incident between parents “escalated to a threat.”
School system officials did not describe the incident that sent Roland Park Elementary/Middle School, located in north Baltimore’s Wyndhurst neighborhood, into lockdown. School system spokeswoman Gwendolyn Chambers said in an email that school staff responded to the incident immediately and notified Baltimore City School Police.
No weapon was brought onto school premises, Chambers said.
“The building was secured, and the situation has been resolved quickly and safely,” Chambers said in the email. “At City Schools, safety is a top priority, and we work daily to ensure a positive environment for teaching and learning.”
