Baltimore County offers reading workshops for parents

The Baltimore County public school system is offering parents of pre-kindergarten children free, 90-minute workshops designed to help them teach their children to read and write.

The Parent University workshops will be held on Sept. 21 at the Woodlawn branch of the Baltimore County Public Library from 10:30 a.m. to noon and at the Rosedale branch of the library beginning at 7 p.m.

The workshops will be taught by current or retired county teachers and are open to parents, grandparents or other members of the community.
