Baltimore County officials will give out 3,000 backpacks filled with school supplies during back-to-school fairs on Tuesday.
The fairs will be held from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Banneker Community Center, 27 Main Ave. in Catonsville; the Randallstown Community Center, 3505 Resource Drive in Randallstown; and the Sollers Point Multi-Purpose Center, 323 Sollers Point Road in Dundalk.
Backpacks and school supplies will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The fairs also will feature health information, representatives from community organizations, police officers and firefighters.
The fairs are sponsored by the county government, the Baltimore County Public Schools and the Kevin Liles for a Better Baltimore Foundation.
Wednesday is the first day of classes for public schools in Baltimore County.
