Maryland schools open Monday after snowy week

After a week of delays, early dismissals and closures, Maryland students returned to school Monday — this time amid a warm spell, rather than battling snow and ice.

Baltimore-area schools were closed both Thursday and Friday following a heavy snowfall Thursday. Last week's schedule was also impacted by a weekend snowfall, thawing and re-freezing, and the threat of freezing rain.
