Updated: Baltimore City police sent out a release around 2:30 p.m. informing that Guadalupe Sosa and Michael Carter, the two Baltimore School for the Arts students who went missing Wednesday, have been found safe and unharmed.

Original Post: Baltimore school officials are spreading word that two students from the Baltimore School for the Arts left the school Wednesday morning, and to date have not been seen or heard from again.


According to a "Missing Persons" flyer put out by police, Guadalupe Sosa, 16, left the school at approximately 10:57 a.m. and may be with her boyfriend Michael Carter, also a Baltimore School for the Arts student. She was last seen wearing a black blouse, greenish-yellow shirt black stockings, and Converse sneakers. You can view the Missing Person flyer, here.

Police said that they are treating the case as a runaway, and that Sosa has run away in the past.

"We are still concerned about her," said Det. Jeremy Silbert. "And we would like to have her return safely."

School communities are also spreading the word.

Matthew Hornbeck, principal of Hampstead Hill Academy where Sosa attended middle school, said she is a "is a smart, gifted violinist," and "her parents are distraught and very much want to make certain Guadalupe is safe."
