Harford's Greatest Athletes: Erin Henderson

As a senior in high school in 2003, Aberdeen's Erin Henderson led the Aberdeen High Eagles to their first football state championship, playing both quarterback and linebacker. Henderson entered the University Maryland wanting to play quarterback but switched to linebacker, a good move for him and the Terps. After coming back from an ACL injury his redshirt freshman year, Henderson earned All-ACC second team honors as a sophomore and first team honors as a junior. He gave up his senior year to enter the NFL draft but was not drafted and signed as a free agent with the Minnesota Vikings where Henderson's older brother, E.J., was a starting linebacker. Erin Henderson got little playing time his first three NFL seasons but he progressed and became a starter in 2011 and was recently resigned for the 2012 season.
