The recent rise in anti-Semitic attacks in the United States doesn't end with today's revelation that bomb threats phoned into Jewish Community Centers was the work of a deranged former boyfriend. Plaudits to President Trump for saying recently, "The anti-Semitic threats targeting our Jewish community and community centers are horrible and are painful, and a very sad reminder of the work that still must be done to root out hate and prejudice and evil,"
But the thing that gives me hope, that reminds me that bigotry, of any kind, is anti-American is a tweet quoted in a Chicago Tribune editorial a Chicago resident wrote:
I'm a #MuslimMarine in Chicagoland area. If your synagogue or Jewish cemetery needs someone to stand guard, count me in. Islam requires it.
