Baltimore’s Enoch Pratt Free Library is offering free Wi-Fi service outside four of its branches.

The library system wrote that internet access is now available outside the Forest Park Branch at 3203 Garrison Boulevard, the Herring Run Branch at 3801 Erdman Ave., the Orleans Street Branch at 1303 Orleans St. and the Patterson Park Branch at 158 N. Linwood Ave.

Wi-Fi is accessible only from certain sides of each building. Forest Park’s Wi-Fi is accessible on the Garrison Boulevard side, Herring Run’s on the Erdman Avenue side, Orleans Street’s on the Orleans Street side and Patterson Park’s on the Pulaski Highway side.

Visitors do not need a library card to access the service, but need to connect to the “epfl-wpa” Wi-Fi network and input the password “epfl-wpa.” For assistance, go to prattlibrary.org.

Access to WiFi is a growing need for the community as more services, including unemployment claims, move online amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The system wrote that social distancing guidelines must still be maintained at all sites and that it is working to improve the signals at those locations, with hopes to provide the same service at other branches.
