Baltimore City landfill resumes normal operations after employee tested positive last week for coronavirus

Operations at the Baltimore Department of Public Works’ Quarantine Road landfill site have returned to normal after an employee tested positive for the coronavirus last week.

Quarantine Road Landfill employees who came in contact with the COVID-19-positive worker were tested by the Baltimore City Health Department and remain quarantined, public works officials said in a news release Tuesday.

Workers from other Bureau of Solid Waste facilities are staffing the landfill, the release states.

Large and small haulers and city residents may continue to drop off unwanted items and trash at the landfill.
