Anyone interested in paying 2019 prices for a 2005 phone is in luck.
That’s right, the iconic Motorola Razr is back, and the reinvented version will cost a light $1499.99, the company announced Thursday. Motorola is not rolling out a $1,500 flip phone; instead it has redeveloped the Razr as a foldable smartphone with multiple screens.
The original flip phone Razr was wildly popular in the mid-2000s, but Motorola never really managed a follow-up act and has since been divided and sold several times. Lenovo is currently its parent company.
The new Razr is available exclusively through Verizon and will be available for preorder in the U.S. on Dec. 26, 2019, with an official release date sometime in January.
