Tom Zirpoli holds the Laurence J. Adams Endowed Chair in Special Education and is program coordinator for the Human Services Management graduate program at McDaniel College. He is also the president and CEO of Target Community & Educational Services. He received a Ph.D. in Special Education from The University of Virginia, and Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Psychology from Old Dominion University.

The facility my mom stayed at for two weeks was located on prime, beach-front property. The dining room, facing the beach, had to be rated five-star and the interior decoration and décor would easily put any high-priced hotel to shame. But no matter the location, view, or décor, when you are sitting in your own waste waiting for help, none of that matters.

Zirpoli: Building Trump’s wall takes money away from projects for our troops

Nine new or renovated schools for military children have been canceled for Trump’s wall. These include a middle school to be built at Fort Campbell in Kentucky and an elementary school at Fort Bragg in North Carolina.
