Now in its fourth year, Trillectro represents a very specific DC/Maryland/Virginia-appealing fusion of dance music and hip-hop. Not the EDM-rap that uses hip-hop as accoutrement but the organic, fervid fusion that could only comes from the musical conversations happening in an area responsible for Baltimore club music, DC go-go, the soul-infused neo-boom-bap of Wale and Oddisee (among others) and the Virginia Beach futurism of the Neptunes, Timbaland, and Missy Elliot. This year's headliner, Kid Cudi is something of a precedent for Trillectro's aesthetic, even if Cudi himself has kind of lost the map when it comes to exploring this sound effectively. So I'll call attention to two of my favorites on the lineup: Duo Rae Sremmurd, whose castrato-hop tracks such as 'No Flex Zone' and 'Safe Sex and Paychecks' have gone almost goth on their new record, "Sremmlife 2"; and Larry June, a self-aware trap-ish rapper with a love of Whole Foods, an ear for airy beats, and a good sense of humor (see 'F'd My Leg Up' off his 2015 album "Good Job Larry"). Other acts this year include, Goldlink, Lil Uzi Vert, ESTA, Cousin Stizz, 070 Shake,  Jay IDK, Ari Lennox, Mista Selecta, Mane Squeeze, Dirty Chocolate, Lean Quatifah, The Yellow R Kel, Spicoli, and Tastefaker. 11 a.m., Merriweather Post Pavilion, 10475 Little Patuxent Parkway, (410) 715-5550, merriweathermusic.com, $65-$125.
