In the wake of the mass shooting at a LGBTQ nightclub in Orlando, Florida several restaurants and local artists are putting on events to help survivors and the victims' families.
So in classic Baltimore fashion, you can dance your pain way, while also helping those in need. Here's a roundup of the events that have been announced so far:
-June 19: The Mount Vernon, lesbian-owned restaurant Flavor, which maintains a lesbian lounge upstairs, is hosting a Stonewall Family Reunion Tea Dance to benefit victims and families in Orlando. The event will feature a buffet of picnic food prepared by chef Julie Belton, music, games, and a playlist of music that spans 1969-1979. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door.
