Drinking wine is fun in its own right, but it's even more fun when you can drink lots of different wines and eat delicious food along Baltimore's waterfront. It's especially crucial when someone formally organizes an event combining these things so you don't get an open-container citation from Baltimore's finest. Luckily, such a festival is coming to Canton Waterfront Park on June 20, the aptly named Baltimore Wine Festival.
There will be wines from Maryland and some other states, such as California and Oregon. Vino from other countries, like France, Spain, and Australia, will be available for all you oenophiles hoping to make Uncle Sam shake his head in shame.
Local restaurants will serve up delicious eats, thus enabling you to drive home responsibly. They include Nando's Peri Peri, Kooper's Tavern, Mother's, Verde, Bond Street Social, Atwater's, and Jimmy's Famous Seafood, just to name a few.
There's also live music from Mambo Combo and Jah Works, cooking demos, seminars, shopping, and kid-friendly attractions for when you need to take a break from consuming stuff.
