City Sweeps MLK Homeless Camp in Photos
Baltimore City's Department of Public Works conducted a homeless sweep of the areas under the Route 40 overpass. Homeless advocates and the homeless themselves blocked both the north and southbound lanes of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard for about 30 minutes until police arrived. DPW workers put up a wooden fence to keep the homeless from returning. The homeless were not given rooms by the city as in past sweeps.
