An elegant addition to Fells Point, Mare Nostrum brings not only a touch of colorful class to Broadway, but a type of cuisine not well-represented in the immediate area. The name, meaning "Our Sea," hints at the abundance of fresh fish and octopus which are flown in daily from the Aegean Sea and Spain, along with the local shrimp, and act as the centerpieces of the Mediterranean menu from the hot and cold mezes and soup to the grilled entrees. Also not common in Fells? BYOB spots. And what's even better for diners who want drinks, too, than the ability to save some cash by bringing our own? Well, no corkage fee, of course. And Mare Nostrum has that as well. Cheers to that.
