Dealing with the red cups, "Chive On" shirts, and wasted college kids in Canton can take a toll on residents and visitors alike. This is why we look forward to drinking at Bartenders when we're out and about in the neighborhood—it's a Canton bar for the real Cantonite. The local crowd skews a little older, say late 20s to mid-30s, so expect actual conversations with your fellow patrons and staff. The business has been at this spot for about a decade and has been a favorite with locals from the beginning. There are four TVs for sports, so you won't miss that, and friendly, um, bartenders who know their regulars by name and drink. Bartenders has an excellent bourbon selection—it won Best Bourbon Bar last year—that is not for mixing but sipping, and a killer house-made pizza selection available until 1 a.m. Let the kids have their fun on the square. Bartenders is perfect if you're ready to ditch your beer pong team and say "goodbye to all that."
