The Basque-inspired restaurant at Meadow Mill opened with one of the city's best wine lists, a super-sharp beer selection, and a really impressive lineup of American and European ciders. The cocktail program is impressive, too, and we went bonkers for the False Idol, which is like the best whiskey, or bourbon, sour you ever had. It's made from Buffalo Trace bourbon, freshly squeezed lemon, and agave nectar. It's so damn simple, and nothing we tasted all year took the edge off our day so smoothly and effectively. It also works as an apéritif. We couldn't wait to start eating.
