We Can't Breathe: Students and activists rally to protest the Eric Garner decision.
About 200 students and activists marched from MICA and McKeldin Square to the Washington Monument where the holiday festivities were being held. Chants of "We can't breathe," a reference to New Yorker Eric Garner who was choked to death by police, sometimes drowned out the various choirs. The protest left the monument and moved to Penn Station. After leaving the station, the protest continued to City Hall where it ended peacefully. There were no arrests or property damage.
