During the late 80s and 90s, contributing City Paper photographer Joe Kohl covered the Baltimore underground like no one else. His archive, now at home at the Maryland Historical Society (MDHS), shows a photographer who was literally everywhere. From little league games to bondage parties, there was little that Kohl didn't shoot. A witty, dry sense of humor is the prevailing factor in all of his work.
