Luxe

This notable national chain doesn't skimp on the luxuries, including a spa and a variety of dining options such as Wit & Wisdom, a tavern that serves comfort food with an Eastern seaboard twist, all while overlooking the city's scenic waterfront. In addition to the restaurants, the high-rise's 10,000 square feet are filled with coffee shops, a spa, ballroom, and an Anthropologie store. Also, the wet deck/reflecting pool seems like a pretty sweet place to relax and maybe have a drink or five.

If you're really lazy or just think power-walking is for dweebs, then this hotel is perfect for exacerbating your idleness—you'd be staying right near the Baltimore Convention Center, the National Aquarium, Camden Yards, and more. The marble and mahogany lobby when you first walk in is only one of the touches that create an atmosphere that is as cozy as it is convenient. Also, heated indoor swimming pools. Nice.

Inn at the Colonnade

Rich marble floors and a hand-painted ceiling welcome you when you arrive at this Double Tree hotel located across from Johns Hopkins University. The Alizee American Bistro located inside provides inventive American cuisine which you can then work off in the fully equipped fitness room. The fresh-baked cookie at check-in will make you feel right at home—that is, if your home had tennis courts.

Peabody Court Hotel

This hotel's collection of original artwork and period furnishings is only upstaged by the 6-foot crystal chandelier in the lobby, a welcoming, if not extravagant, greeting. It's right across from the parks of Mount Vernon, the Walters Art Museum, and of course the Peabody Conservatory. Small dogs are welcome to stay as well, which is great because dogs are awesome and deserve to experience Charm City too. And George's, the bar downstairs, is a great place to meet the locals who hang out for the excellent service, food, and local beer.

This bed and breakfast is housed in a rowhouse dating back to the 19th century, but inside it is all luxury, decorated with handcrafted furnishings and containing amenities like a whirlpool tub that you'd have a hard time finding in a traditional 19th century rowhouse. They even offer exclusive romantic packages, complete with rose petals strewn around the room, and spa treatments for your special somebody or just for yourself because you work hard and you deserve it.

Admiral Fell Inn

The tagline "comfort steeped in the traditions of nautical history" could not be more appropriate when describing this seaside building which dates back to the 1770s. The inn believes in preserving the architectural and cultural history of that time while offering modern amenities like ghost tours and Spanish tapas restaurants, which probably would've blown the minds of the tenants of the 1770s.

Hotel Brexton

This bed and breakfast prides itself on being able to create a "distinctively contemporary experience," which it accomplishes by providing all tenants with freshly baked treats and breakfast.  The vast selection of pubs and restaurants in the Canton neighborhood and downtown doesn't hurt either. The hotel also has free street parking which is a nice benefit and a rarity in the city.

Mount Vernon Hotel

HI-Baltimore Hostel

The quirkiness that sets Baltimore from other big cities is well-represented in the HI-Baltimore Hostel, just as elegant as it is funky.  Travelers will enjoy that it's close to dozens of bars and the Lexington Market, but it also has a bar in its own lobby so you don't have to venture too far for adult beverages. Also, there's a karaoke machine that you can use to express your love of Baltimore and this hotel through song.

Biltmore Suites

A Victorian hotel from the 19th century, the Biltmore Suites provides affordable lodging located in the heart of Mount Vernon. It's sandwiched between Johns Hopkins University's Homewood campus and University of Maryland Medical Center so it's a convenient place for the traveling student. It's just a few steps from the light rail for quick travel as well.
