It's been over a week since Keith Bosierre, aka "The Running Man," was beaten by a man while on an evening run, and now local supporters and running businesses are trying to help Bosierre out.
Over on Gofundme, a campaign has started to pay for reward money for details leading to the arrest of a suspect and further medical costs, and a nine-mile running event on Sunday is being organized in Bosierre's honor at North Avenue and Hilton Street at 10:30 a.m. Though we couldn't find more infomation about the event, a spokeswoman for the charity Choo Smith Youth Empowerment, whose co-founder posted the picture on Instagram, confirmed that it will happen.
The Falls Road Running Store posted on Facebook yesterday that they would like to outfit Bosierre with new shoes and some warm and reflective running gear. So far, they've been unable to reach him.
"Our first reaction was that we wanted to help him with some refellctive clothing and cold-weather gear," said shop owner Pete Mulligan when reached by phone. "We were told he's a very private person, we'll be here if he needs anything. To Keith, I say keep at it. You're an inspiration to all of us."
