-Kwanzaa Celebration: At a time when some stubborn people maintain that Santa, the fictional character made to inspire love and joy and commercialism, can only be white--looking at you, Fox News--African heritage takes its rightful place during the holiday season with Kwanzaa. Celebrate the Kwanzaa principle Kujichagulia, meaning self-determination, with a Kwanzaa candle-lighting ceremony, traditional drumming and dancing from Sankofa Dance Theatre, souvenir vendors, craft workshops, kid stuff, and a gallery walk with CP photo editor J.M.
