-Thee Lexington Arrows, The Safes, The Max Levine Ensemble, The Wires, The Do Likes: A lot can change in a music scene over 10 years, and Baltimore is no exception. But now for a decade, Thee Lexington Arrows (pictured) have delivered exquisitely reckless no-nonsense garage punk with CP illustrator Alex Fine on lead guitar. So it's appropriate for The Safes, who played with Thee Lexington Arrows at their first show almost exactly 10 ten years ago, to join them at their anniversary celebration as we reminisce about the 2000s, which we're disturbed to already be reminiscing about. 8 p.m., The Sidebar, 218 E. Lexington St., (410) 659-4130, sidebarbaltimore.com, $8. (Maura Callahan)

-From the Short List: Kix has its first annual Kixmas party at Rams Head Live since releasing its comeback album "Rock Your Face Off." Experimental local quartet Water School reunites for a show at the Metro Gallery with Jaabs and Your Imaginary Friend. Soul singer Anthony Hamilton performs his hits at the Meyerhoff. Rapper e-dubble and band 27 Lights continue their collaboration at the 8x10. Bluegrass band The Wafflers perform at Joe Squared. Robert Hitz leads an improvisation workshop at An die Musik Live. Local acoustic weirdo Imaginary Hockey League plays songs like 'Drake Would Never Treat Me This Way' at the Charm City Art Space with Small Hands, Oceans Full Of Friends, and more. Red Dragon Cartel, led by onetime Ozzy Osbourne sideman Jake E. Lee, plays at Fishhead Cantina. Connecticut metal band Emmure plays Baltimore Soundstage with The Acacia Strain and Fit For A King. The Glenn Angus Jazz Quartet plays Christmas music at The Cabaret at Germano's. The second night of the Friends Records anniversary party at the Ottobar includes Height With Friends, Television Hill, Celebration, and many more. Don't miss: It's A Funky Soul Holiday Party at the Art Room benefits the House of Ruth and the Allendale Community Association, with house band The Bangladesh Project and performers including Jahiti and Eze Jackson.
