reports that Sommerville got into an argument with a woman the day before in a residence in the block. As he was leaving, Sommerville broke a window. A child was near the window, and Jason Ingram, a 28-year-old African-American man, confronted Sommerville about almost injuring the child. The two fought, and Sommerville allegedly threatened to kill Ingram. Sommerville called the house on the 17th and threatened to shoot everyone inside it. The people in the home called Ingram, who returned with Preston Feaster, a 22-year-old African-American man. Ingram and Feaster barricaded themselves in the house, and Sommerville and Washington allegedly came to the house and began firing at them. Ingram and Feaster allegedly fired back, killing Washington and injuring Sommerville. The State’s Attorney’s Office has ruled the shootings self-defense. Ingram and Feaster are, however, being charged with possessing illegal firearms. Sommerville and Devin Ocain, a 20-year-old African-American man, have been charged with attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and other charges.
