from a January beating has been added to the homicide rolls this week. On Jan. 3 police were called to the 3000 block of Baker Street in Rosemont for a baby who was not breathing. Aaron Evans, a 3-month-old African-American boy, was discovered with no pulse and trauma to his forehead. He was taken to a city hospital where he was resuscitated and placed in the pediatric intensive-care unit in critical condition. He was not expected to survive. Evans died on March 24. Evans’ father Myron Evans, an 18-year-old African-American man, was arrested on Feb. 13 and charged with child abuse, assault, and reckless endangerment.
