Every now again something kinda indie-ish will pass through An die Musik, like the Baltimore SDIY Group's Summerfest weirdtronic series, or, more frequently, classical music or even modern classical music—but An die 's heart and soul is jazz. Might be Peabody student jazz, a new hot virtuoso from the New York scene, or a classic jazz name, but club owner Henry Wong believes there is a right way to hear music: no clattering bar, just people sitting and enjoying music in a clean, comfortable room. We love the jazz idyll of a dark, smoky club space as much as the next cool cat, but it's hard to argue with something that works, and An die Musik does.
