City Paper Protest Coverage: Washington D.C.

Hundreds came to D.C. to protest police brutality. Speakers included Rev. Al Sharpton and family members of Michael Brown, who was killed by police in Ferguson; Eric Garner, who was choked to death by the NYPD, and Tamir Rice, a 12-year-old who was shot and killed by police in Cleveland. The families led the march from Freedom Plaza at 13th and Pennsylvania avenues to a stage just before the Capitol.
