Baltimore's own Ambassador Dining Room (3811 Canterbury Road, 366-1484) will be featured on an upcoming episode of the Food Network's The Best Thing I Ever Ate. The show, which airs Fridays at 10 p.m., asks noted chefs where they go out to eat and then and then features their favorite dishes. In this episode, Charm City Cakes mastermind Duff Goldman extols the virtues of Ambassador's Goa Fish. According to restaurant co-owner Binda Singh, the Ambassador pan fries a wild Goa fish in its entirety, topping it off with a combination of roasted garlic, tamarind, ginger, cumin, and scallion. "It feels great to be picked," Singh says. "This is the first Indian restaurant they are featuring on the show, so it's a pretty big deal for us." The episode's air date has not been announced.
