A windmill-studded energy-generating "wind farm" on the Norwegian island of Smola is being blamed for a sharp decline in a population of rare white-tailed eagles. The eagles, Europe's largest predatory bird, have apparently been flying into the windmills' spinning blades, including all of the eaglets born near the site after last breeding season. (BBC)
