Details are a bit sparse for now but all you really need to know about the
is in the title: BACON. It's almost like having a music festival with U2 as every act: you know people are gonna *cough cough* eat it up. On April 26th America Loves Bacon will host the inaugural pork fest at Rash Field in the inner harbor from 12-10pm, and will include over 30 vendors serving their take on the salty meat-treat, live cooking demonstrations from regional and local chefs, as well as bands throughout the day. General admission tickets run $20, which includes your first two sample tickets ($2 for additional) as well as access into the grounds.
(3/19), and while we'd like to believe there's really a company called America Loves Bacon, we've discovered the group behind the event is actually Charm City Hospitality, who's in charge of concessions for Preakness, Virgin Fest, and Merriweather Post Pavilion. We're told to expect more details of specific vendor and band names to be announced around April 1st.
