Chef Sarah Acconcia has had a damn good year. After leaving 13.5% Wine Bar in Hampden, where she was executive chef, she opened Le Garage (also in Hampden) to great reviews. Creating a smartly composed menu of unfussy French food has served Acconcia well, making her restaurant one of the best in the city. The roasted bone-marrow dish she created might be a sexy show-stopper, but traditional dishes such as her version of moules-frites show that she is grounded enough to pay homage to the classics. Also, everything is made in-house, so even simple items such as ketchup have to be up to her standards.
