Jason Meisner

Jason Meisner is the federal courts reporter for the Tribune, covering everything from political corruption to street gang racketeering and terrorism cases. After coming up through the old City News Service, Meisner went on to become a founding member of the Tribune's Breaking News desk. In 2008, he became legman to columnist John Kass, where he learned the ropes of the city's politics — and barbecue. In his spare time, Meisner likes to unplug, whether it's sailing, skiing, playing guitar or simply ignoring his Twitter feed.
