Police are investigating the serious shooting of a 23-year-old man early Friday afternoon in the Roseland neighborhood.
Someone shot the man in his arm and chest about 12:20 p.m. at 108th Street and Michigan Avenue, said police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala.
The man was sitting in a van when someone walked up and started shooting into the van, Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said. Nobody is in custody, she said.
The victim, who was listed in serious condition, then drove himself to Roseland Community Hospital but was later transferred to Advocate Christ Hospital and Medical Center in Oak Lawn, according to Zala.
He remains in serious condition at Christ, Greer said.
