A fire at a south suburban boat repair shop damaged five boats and caused smoke damage to the business, fire officials said late Tuesday.
No injuries were reported in the blaze at the All Seasons Marine shop in the 15300 block of South Cicero Avenue in Oak Forest, officials said.
The business, which sells, services and repairs watercraft, had closed for the evening when a fire somehow ignited in one of the boats at the facility at about 9:18 p.m., said Oak Forest Fire Chief Terrence Lipinski.
The fire badly damaged two boats and caused heat and smoke damage to three others, Lipinski said.
Heavy smoke also damaged the business itself, but firefighters contained and extinguished the fire in about 40 minutes, Lipinski said.
Fire officials hadn't determined the cause of the fire. Store officials weren't available for comment.
