Two Chicago police officers suffered minor injuries this morning in a single-vehicle crash on the Far Northwest Side, police said.
The crash happened at about 4 a.m. in the 6100 block of West Foster Avenue, said Chicago Police Officer Veejay Zala.
The officers were in a marked police SUV heading east on Foster when the driver looked over his left shoulder out the window and at the same time moved the steering wheel to the right, causing the SUV to crash into a light pole, according to a report of the incident.
One officer was treated and released from a local hospital, while the other was admitted for observation, Zala said. No other vehicles were involved.
