Bird Brown
Robert "Bird" Brown is a part-time recreational sports writer and columnist who came to the Times in January 2006. He is a full-time business teacher, boys' varsity soccer, and boys' JV lacrosse coach at his alma mater, Westminster High School. Bird has a B.A. in Sociology from Coker College and an MBA from Mt. St. Mary's University. He formerly worked in the insurance industry for 17 years and with his wife owned a couple of small businesses in the Westminster area.
- Undoubtedly, there are players who have chosen to sit out this “fall” season until things can get back to some sort of normalcy, and they will be welcomed back when things open up. For those that have braved the storm, so to speak, and come out in these conditions, you have earned my lifetime respect.
