Election 2019: Get to know Sykesville's candidates

Four candidates are running for three seats on the Sykesville Town Council in this May’s municipal election.

They are current council member Anna Carter, Mark Dyer, Jane Mergler and Jeremiah Schofield. Three seats are available and will go to the top three vote-getters.

Sykesville’s Election Day is May 7, with the polls opening at 8 a.m. and staying open through 8 p.m.

A candidate forum was held April 25.

Ahead of the election, the Carroll County Times has asked the candidates to provide information on themselves and their priorities. Their responses are listed here in full.
