U.S. Customs and Border Protection, in the midst of a robust campaign to hire more border patrol officers, will host a free hiring workshop Feb. 19 at Baltimore Washington International Thurgood Marshal Airport.

U.S. Customs, a division of the Department of Homeland Security, needs additional officers to serve at ports of entry across the U.S., including at the Southwest border, at Washington Dulles International Airport and, starting March 1 through March 31, in Baltimore. The agency called the hiring of CBP officers in Baltimore “exceptionally rare.”

Applicants or anyone interested in a border patrol career will be given a briefing as well as resume and application tips. Recruiters will speak with prospective applicants who bring resumes.

Workshop sessions, lasting about two hours, will start at 9 a.m., noon and 3 p.m. Sessions will be held at BWI Airport at the Maryland Aviation Administration Terminal Conference Room, located in pre-security on the back hallway between the Concourse C & D Exit, across from Starbucks.
