Discount grocer Aldi is holding three job fairs over the next week to hire about 35 workers for its Baltimore-area stores.
The fast-growing retailer is seeking store associates, manager trainees and shift managers for stores in Elkton and Pasadena as well as a new store in Timonium.
Hiring events are planned for Tuesday, Thursday and May 14.
Aldi said store associates earn $12.70 per hour with a chance for a pay increase after six months, while shift managers earn $17.20 per hour and manager trainees earn $22 per hour.
Prospective employees can apply for store associate jobs from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Aldi at 8124 Ritchie Highway in Pasadena, for all positions from noon to 4 p.m. on Thursday at 300 Newark Ave. in Elkton, and for all positions from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on May 14 at 903 Taylor Ave. in Towson.
Applicants must be 18 and available to work anytime between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m. Monday through Sunday. Retail experience and high school diploma or GED are preferred.
The grocer is investing $3.4 billion to build new stores across the U.S. with a goal to expand from 1,750 locations to 2,500 stores by the end of 2022.
