Red Robin Gourmet Burgers hiring 100 for new Crofton restaurant

Red Robin Gourmet Burgers is opening a restaurant in Crofton, where it plans to hire more than 100 workers.

The new Red Robin, the 13th in Maryland, will open in mid-July in the Waugh Chapel Shopping Center off Route 3 North.

"If the sizzle of burgers on the grill is music to your ears, and making people smile is one of your greatest talents, then you're just the type of person we want to talk with!," the company’s announcement says.

The casual dining chain serves more than two dozen varieties of burgers and its trademark Bottomless Steak Fries in addition to appetizers, chicken sandwiches, salads, soups and wraps.

Besides being at least 18, employees should be "passionate" about burgers, said Ivan Martinez, general manager of the Red Robin in Crofton.

The company got its start in 1969 and now runs 474 locations in the U.S. and Canada. Locations in the Baltimore area include Towson, Annapolis, White Marsh, Bel Air, Columbia and Owings Mills.
