Hotel Monaco Baltimore offers 'Irene' rate of $99

Mean Irene has left the scene. But what she left behind wasn't pretty. Just ask anyone who's been forced off the grid or had to dodge falling trees.

Kimpton Hotels feels your pain and your sweaty brow as you contemplate a week without A/C or a hot shower. To help out the storm weary, the boutique hotel chain's Washington/Baltimore hotels are offering a "Hurricane Irene Relief' Rate of $99 per night for stays through Sept. 2.

The deal is available at the Hotel Monaco Baltimore and seven other hotels in Washington and Virginia. (As we recently reported, the Hotel Monaco is the hotel to the stars in Charm City.)

Maximum stay is 7 nights - you've gotta be outta there before the Baltimore Grand Prix stars show up - and you can book online at kimptonhotels.com, using rate code IRENE. If you don't have power, you can also call 800-KIMPTON and ask for the Irene rate. Base on availability, of course, with taxes and fees extra.
