Baltimore Housing officials issued a warning Friday about fraudulent fliers stating that the waiting list for the Housing Choice voucher program would reopen on August 22.

The list for the program, commonly known as Section 8, is closed, according to a news release.

The circulating fliers suggest people should bring information such as pay stubs, Social Security cards and proof of income, but the claims are not true.
