Folks, if you bought some Seltzer brand Lebanon bologna (it kinda looks like salami) please check the label to see if your package was affected by the recall announced Tuesday.

Palmyra Bologna Company of Pennsylvania is recalling 23,000 pounds of Lebanon bologna due to a high risk of E. coli contamination, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service.

The fermented semi-dry sausage was sent to distributors in California, Colorado, New York, Pennsylvania and Maryland.

Four people in New Jersey, North Carolina and Pennsylvania got sick between between Jan. 28and Feb. 12, and federal investigators have connected their illness to these products.

Here are details about the affected packaging for consumers, according to FSIS:

• 6-ounce packages of "SELTZER'S BEEF LEBANON BOLOGNA" with lot code "01351" and best-by date of "Apr. 20 2011" printed on the package.
• 12-ounce packages of "SELTZER'S BEEF LEBANON BOLOGNA" with lot code "01351" and best-by dates of "Apr. 20 2011" or "Apr. 21 2011" printed on the package.
• 16-ounce packages of "SELTZER'S BEEF LEBANON BOLOGNA" with lot code "01351" and best-by date of "Apr. 22 2011" printed on the package.

The retail distribution list hasn't been posted as of Wednesday but will be available at this link when it is.
